It is not a requirement for our company to have an external DPO, but if you have questions about the processing of your personal data, you can contact us at ldb@starti.app.
Processing Activities
Personal data includes any information that can be attributed to you in some way. If you do not wish for us to process these details, it may become problematic to maintain and fulfill any agreements.

When you visit our website, we use cookies to make it function properly, which you can read more about in our cookie policy.
Communication with Potential Customers

We will process your personal data to engage in a dialogue with you, e.g., answering questions about our services. We only process the information you provide in connection with our communication. We typically process the following common details: name, email, phone number.

Our legal basis for processing this personal data is GDPR Article 6(1)(f). We delete our communication with you after 6 months. If there is a specific need to retain your data for a longer period, this may be the case.
Customers
We need to communicate with our customers to assist them with any questions related to our services. In this process, we may process information such as name, email, phone number, payment details, and similar. The legal basis for processing this personal data is GDPR Article 6(1)(b). We delete personal data no later than 6 months after the customer relationship has ended.
Newsletter
We have a newsletter that is optional to sign up for – and you can unsubscribe at any time. The purpose of the newsletter is to send subscribers emails with new information from the company, such as new content on the website or announcements of our services. We will only send you emails if you have given active consent for this. Initially, you will need to provide your email address, which we will send a confirmation email to, ensuring that you have signed up for the newsletter, i.e., given active consent.

Our legal basis for processing your personal data (i.e., email address) in connection with the newsletter is GDPR Article 6(1)(a). We will process your personal data as long as you remain subscribed to the newsletter. Upon unsubscribing, we will stop sending it to you. If we haven't sent you a newsletter in a year, your consent will expire due to inactivity. Upon unsubscribing, we will retain the previous consent for 2 years from its last use due to statute of limitations, according to the Danish Consumer Ombudsman’s Spam Guidelines, Section 11.3.
Accounting
We are required to keep all accounting records according to the Danish Accounting Act. This means we store invoices and similar records for accounting purposes. These may contain common personal data, such as name, address, and service description. Our legal basis for processing personal data for accounting purposes is GDPR Article 6(1)(c). We retain these records for at least 5 years after the end of the current fiscal year.
Job Applications
We process applicants' data to assess their qualifications and experience in relation to potential employment at starti.app. If you send your job application to us, our legal basis for processing your personal data is GDPR Article 6(1)(f). For unsolicited applications, we delete your data if you are not considered for a position. You will receive a rejection notice before deletion.

If you have applied for a posted job, we will discard your application if you are not hired, 6 months after the recruitment process ends. If you are part of a recruitment process and/or are hired, we will provide you with separate information on how we handle your personal data in that context.

If starti.app uses a service provider located outside the EU/EEA, starti.app will enter into a data processing agreement with the company.
Third-Country Transfers
As a rule, we use data processors within the EU/EEA or who store data in the EU/EEA. In some cases, this may not be possible, and we may use data processors outside the EU/EEA, provided they can offer an appropriate level of protection for your personal data. If starti.app uses a distribution service or other types of services outside the EU/EEA, starti.app will enter into a data processing agreement with the company.
Security
We process your personal data securely and confidentially in accordance with applicable laws, including the GDPR and the Danish Data Protection Act.

Your information will only be used for the purposes for which it was collected and will be deleted when this purpose has been fulfilled or is no longer relevant.

We have taken technical and organizational measures to prevent your information from being accidentally or illegally deleted, disclosed, lost, impaired, accessed by unauthorized persons, misused, or otherwise processed in violation of the law.

If you wish to access, correct, or delete data, you can always contact us. If the content is legally allowed to be deleted, we can comply with this request.
