Who is Vetnordic?

Vetnordic is an innovative and specialized B2B supplier for the veterinary industry, focusing on consumables, digital infrastructure, and learning. They were founded in 2022 with the ambition of raising the bar for what veterinarians and veterinary nurses can expect from their suppliers.

Through their webshop, Vetnordic has a local presence in Denmark, Norway, Germany, and Finland, and with their app, they make it even easier for customers to order in exactly the way that suits them best.

Cost and time to market were crucial

"In the beginning, we were a bit unsure about how our users would respond to the app. That's why cost and time to market were key factors when we chose the starti.app solution," Jimmy explains.

Instead of building Vetnordic's app from scratch, starti.app uses the existing webshop as the core of the app, offering two major advantages:

  • Fast time to market. Large parts are already prebuilt — Vetnordic's app was ready in just 2 months.
  • Fixed and predictable pricing. A low setup fee plus a fixed monthly subscription that covers ongoing technical maintenance.

For Vetnordic, that meant getting an app at one-tenth of the price they were quoted elsewhere. "It's insanely cheap," Jimmy emphasizes.

What was the development process like?

Vetnordic didn't want a 1:1 solution that looked exactly like their mobile website. So they purchased a design package, where starti.app's graphic and development teams helped create custom components and designs within the app.

"Your approach to design, UX, and functionality has been incredibly professional and creative. It's rare to find a development team that can both execute quickly and understand the client so well.

It's been an agile and honest process — with mutual respect. Despite tight deadlines and many stakeholders, the project has been both efficient and fun. We felt in good hands throughout," Jimmy concludes.
