Triple Whale

Learn how to setup the connection between the app and Triple Whale.

Assuming you are already utilizing Triple Whale to track user activity on your website, distinguishing between website usage and app usage can be accomplished effortlessly. This guide assumes you have successfully set up a Triple Whale pod for your website.

The developer part

Set the startup URL to be the URL of your Triple Whale pod and then append the following query parameters to the URL:

?utm_source=starti.app&utm_medium=app&utm_campaign=in_app

Example URL:

https://example.com/?utm_source=starti.app&utm_medium=app&utm_campaign=in_app

That’s it, someone with access to Triple Whale should proceed with the following steps.

The Triple Whale part

  1. Open your Triple Whale pod. Navigate to the desired pod.

  2. Go to the pixel overview

  3. Now you are able to see starti.app as a source in the overview.
