Google Play Service Account

Learn how to create a new Google Play service account for your organization.

Instructions

  1. Open Google Play Console. Navigate to “Setup” and select “API access.”

  2. Select “Create a new Google Cloud project” and click “Save.”

  3. Click “View in Google Cloud Platform.”

  4. Select “IAM & Admin” from the menu and then select “Service Accounts” from the submenu.

  5. Click “CREATE SERVICE ACCOUNT.”

  6. Enter a name for this service account (e.g. “Google Play”). Also, enter a service account ID (e.g., “google-play”) and a description (e.g. “Used for the Google Play integration”). Click “CREATE AND CONTINUE.”

  7. Under “Role,” select “Service Accounts” in the left-hand list, and then select “Service Account User” in the right-hand list. Click “Continue” and then “Done”.

  8. You can now see the new service account. Click on the three dots on the right side and select “Manage Keys”.

  9. Now click on “ADD KEY” and select “Create new key”.

  10. Select “JSON” and click on “CREATE”. A JSON file will now be downloaded, which needs to be sent to developer@starti.app.

  11. Now open Google Play Console again and navigate to “Setup” and select “API access”.

  12. Scroll down the page and find the service account that has been created. Click on “Manage Play Console permissions” for the new service account.

  13. Click on “Invite user” and select “Send invitation”.
